My birthday is Oct 27th, so when I was a kid, my mom in all her wisdom used Halloween decorations for ALL of my  birthday parties until I was old enough to realize that kids had other themed birthday parties. By then I kinda liked having Halloween Decorations and my mom got away without having to decorate twice in one week. It was also the 80’s. Did we even do themed birthday parties? Cant remember? I think I was just excited to have paper plates with cake on them.

Fast forward to today and my kids have Pinterest and instagram and all sorts of ideas about parties. My daughter wanted to throw her first Halloween party for her friends this year. She invited 4 friends (we made her keep it small on purpose). Unfortunately I was running out the door to shoot a family session so I missed the cookie decorating and the movie watching but I managed to grab a few shots of the girls in their costume on my way out.
